1. Booking Confirmation
• A booking is confirmed once the following steps are completed:
• The guest provides all requested booking information (full name, contact details, and guest list).
• A deposit of 50% or full payment has been received.
• A confirmation email has been sent to the guest confirming the booking details.
• The person making the booking (“Lead Guest”) must be over 25 years old and is responsible for all members of the party.
2. Payment Policy
• To confirm a booking:
• A 50% deposit of the total booking cost is required upfront.
• The remaining balance is due 14 days before arrival.
• For bookings made within 14 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
• A security deposit/Bond of $300 is required 48 hours prior to check-in.
This is fully refundable following check-out, provided no damages or breaches of house rules occur.
3. Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations by Guests:
• Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to check-in will receive a full refund of the deposit
minus a non-refundable administrative fee of $50
• Cancellations made within 30 days of check-in will forfeit the deposit unless exceptional circumstances apply.
• No-shows or early departures will not be eligible for refunds.
• Cancellations by the Host:
• In the unlikely event that we must cancel your stay (e.g., due to unforeseen circumstances), a full refund will be provided, and we will assist in helping you find alternative accommodation if necessary.
4. Check-in and Check-out
• Check-in: From 2.00 PM on the arrival date.
• Check-out: By 10:00 AM on the departure date.
• Early check-in or late check-out may be accommodated upon request, subject to availability and additional fees.
• Failure to vacate by the agreed check-out time without prior approval may result in additional charges.
5. House Rules
To ensure Mahana remains a beautiful and welcoming space for all, guests agree to adhere to the following house rules:
1. No smoking indoors—smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
2. No pets allowed unless prior written approval has been granted.
3. No parties, events, or excessive noise are allowed. Please respect our neighbours and the peaceful surroundings.
4. Maximum occupancy must not exceed 8 guests
5. Keep the property secure: Ensure all doors and windows are locked when leaving the house.
6. Report any damage, breakages, or maintenance issues immediately during your stay.
7. Leave the property tidy upon departure: Place used dishes in the dishwasher, remove rubbish, and ensure furniture and amenities are returned to their original positions.
6. Security Deposit/Bond
• A refundable security deposit/Bond of $300 will be held as per the Security Deposit Policy provided.
• Guests will be notified of any deductions, with supporting evidence and cost breakdowns, where applicable.
7. Guest Responsibilities
• Guests are responsible for the behaviour of all individuals staying at Mahana during the booking.
• The property and its contents must be treated with care and respect.
• Any breach of house rules may result in deductions from the security deposit, termination of the booking, or additional charges.
8. Liability
• The host accepts no responsibility for:
• Loss, damage, or theft of guests’ personal property during their stay.
• Accidents or injuries that occur on the property as a result of guest negligence.
• Guests are encouraged to take out travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
9. Confirmation of Agreement
By making a booking at Mahana, guests acknowledge and agree to:
• The terms and conditions outlined above.
• Compliance with the house rules.
• The payment and cancellation policies.
Exterior Security Camera Disclosure Statement
At Mahana, your safety and privacy are important to us. Please note that exterior security cameras are installed around the property for the purpose of property protection.
• Location of Cameras: The cameras are positioned on the exterior of the property only. They are placed to monitor entrances of the property only.
• Recording Details: The cameras may record video 24/7 but are not actively monitored. Footage is securely stored and accessed only if necessary for safety or security purposes.
